FAQ
Please RSVP by February 28, 2025. If you are not completely sure due to another matter, please message us and let us know the details!
No, but we highly recommend it! We tried a bunch of the hotels while wedding planning, and found the Sheraton to be one of the better value ones. If you stay somewhere else, please let us know in the RSVP
Yes. If you have other dietary restrictions, please let us know in the RSVP
Yes: “Summer cocktail Attire”. The reception and dinner will all be outdoors, and the temperature is expected to be in the low 80s (~27C) and cool down in the evening to the high 70s (~25C). There will be shaded areas from canopies and trees, and a cool ocean breeze as well. The venue is almost entirely soft tropical grass, so ladies please be mindful when choosing shoes, and gentlemen, please no Aloha/Hawaiian shirts. Additionally for the sake of photos and the wedding theme, please avoid highly saturated primary colors.
Yes, if your invite includes it. Due to wedding size limits, only certain guests are able to bring plus-ones.
There will be an area where you can step out to have a smoke.
Aside from the obvious things, no confetti, fireworks, and drones. The venue is a cultural institute used for Hawaiian cultural events, and we really intended to keep it in the best condition possible.
We plan to do a group event on the Saturday after the wedding. This is still currently yet to be determined, and we will let everyone know once it is finalized.
If you plan to do any excursions around the island, yes. If you intend to stick to mostly the resorts, hotels and beaches, No. Parking on Oahu and particularly Waikiki is a major challenge, we learned this the hard way. Parking at night is extremely expensive and free/cheaper parking is very competitive (Think NYC). Waikiki is very walkable so you can explore most of all the sights and attractions on foot.
We recommend arriving on Thursday or early Friday. Thursday is a national holiday, making it a convenient day for travel and settling in.
😉
Yes, during certain parts of the wedding. We will ask guests to leave their phones down for the ceremony, and parts of the reception. Additionally, there will be guests in attendance that are more privacy conscious than others. As a result, we ask guests to refrain from taking photos of guests you do not know.
Yes. We will be offering a shuttle from the Sheraton Waikiki to the venue, and back. Guests staying at other hotels will need to meet at the Sheraton if they intend to take the shuttle.
No. Just your attendance is appreciated!
